Teen Engagement Initiative

Do you need funding for a teen program? We want to help you build Jewish identity!

Grants available of up to $500 for programs, events, activities that engage Jewish youth

The teenage years are critical for Jewish identity formation that affects the future Jewish lives of teens and their families. Yet, there are a significant number of teens that become disconnected from Jewish life once they finish with their Bar/Bat Mitzvah.

The Jewish Federation of Ottawa is committed to increasing the number of Jewish youth who are engaged in informal Jewish experiences, and increasing the amount of Jewish opportunities available for youth.

To address this need, Federation is offering grants of up to $500 for programs, events and activities that engage youth in Grades 7 – 12 in Jewish life.

Please note that under certain circumstances larger grants may be considered, such as for organizations working together to to create Jewish experiences for teens.

Grants are available in 2018 and applications will be accepted on an ongoing basis.
