“The last two and half years have been really hard for many in our community. Jewish Family Services was able to support many in our community thanks to the Federation’s allocations, various strategic grants, and partnership. Our community is stronger when we work together. Thank you.”

NOW WE GO FORWARD EMPOWERING OUR MOST VULNERABLE

Federation’s response in times of crisis is immediate because our ability to take quick, decisive action is built into our planning. In the last two years, we’ve set the standard for how a community helps its most at-risk members. We now need to set the standard for how a community cares for its most vulnerable beyond an immediate crisis.

Since the onset of the global pandemic, Federation has allocated $2,318,899 in Emergency Funding, ensuring organizations like the Ottawa Kosher Food Bank, Jewish Family Services, Tamir and the Bess and Moe Greenberg Family Hillel Lodge as well as both Jewish day schools were able to meet the needs of their most vulnerable participants.

With your ongoing support Federation is continuing to strengthen our Jewish social safety net through allocations to our social service agencies and special programs, as well as with strategic targetted funding like our Emergency Fund and the Ukraine Crisis Fund.

A gift to the Annual Campaign provides compassionate care for our most vulnerable through our social service agencies like Bess and Moe Greenberg Family Hillel Lodge, Jewish Family Services, Tamir, and programs like AJA 50+ Creative Connections, Camp B’nai Brith’s scholarships for campers, and Jewish Youth Library’s Friendship Circle and more.
